We are the second largest water company in England and Wales, but what does Severn Trent Water actually do?

The Severn Trent Water region covers 21,000 square kilometres in central England and mid-Wales. If you live here, you probably use our services every day! We provide water to 7.4 million people, and sewerage services to 8.5 million people. That means a supply of around 1,900 million litres of water per day, and treatment of around 2,500 million litres of waste water, or sewage, per day.

Altogether, our sewers and mains could easily stretch around the world twice: that's 46,000 km of water mains and 54,000 km of sewers. We also have 181 ground water treatment works and 1,017 sewage treatment works.
