What you can do

Climate change can bring widely ranging weather conditions. From flooding during the summer of 2007 to periods of low winter rainfall.  In the next 50 years, we can expect even greater extremes of weather.

Severn Trent Water has a Water Resources Plan for maintaining the balance between water supply and demand over the next 25 years. This plan outlines the impacts of climate change on water resources following the Environment Agency guidelines. The effects of climate change coupled with population growth mean that investing in improving the resilience and capacity of our network will become increasingly important.

Climate change affects us all. We are doing are upmost to provide a continuous supply of quality water, but we can't do this alone, we need your help. In this section of the website, we're asking you to help by saving water and by thinking carefully about what you put back into our sewage network.

Browse around, complete our water audits and think about what you put down the toilet and down the drain!
